I wanted to start out by sharing a picture of me with a giant snail in the background. How cute is that?? I found this in the Bramblewood forest one day when I was foraging for seeds. Anyway...thought it was cute and wanted to share!
The people in this town have been so friendly and welcoming. I feel I have made a lot of friends here already. Though not close friends, I still know I can count on them should an occasion arise.
I think this young man has a crush on me! He's so sweet to me and often brings me good things to eat. His mother owns one of the grocery stalls I sell my fish and produce to. Too bad he's just a teenager.
I really need to do a better job of keeping my house cleaner. An issue I have is there is no electricity and the only water I have is what I am able to collect. I was finally able to get enough money to buy a water collector, which comes in handy when it rains. It's laundry day today. Going to check these pockets in case I slipped a coin or two inside them and forgot.
I'm sure you can tell doing laundry is not my favorite chore. I know it has to be done but it's way down there on my list of fun things to do.
The weather is a bit overcast and drizzly today. I hope these things will dry.
As expected, it started to rain so no way my clothes are going to dry. At least one good outcome is there is plenty of water for a nice bath!
The weather doesn't really seem to affect the people who live here. They just buy an umbrella and go about their business. I think it will just take some getting used to the days of overcast skies and drizzle.
The big meeting place here is the Inn. It is run by a couple with the last name of Scott. Both of them are super cool. She lets me come in and even gives me free chips to eat. While I have actually bought something to eat once or maybe twice, she knows I am as poor as a church mouse.
