Tell me if you can relate, please? There is this guy. You know the one. The one who is the cutest guy you have ever met. The one you feel nervous around, but kind of in a good way. Well this guy, the guy I'm talking about. His name is Don Lothario. Don decides to stop by the house. He can't call of course. I live off the grid and don't have a telephone.
I'm not complaining that he came by to visit but look at me! Could I be in any worse shape for a visit from HIM?? I think not. He brought me sort of a housewarming gift, I guess. I was so happy to see him I gave him a great big hug, not thinking this is not going to go well because I stink to high heaven. Will he notice?
Of course he will you weirdo! And he did. He wasn't too happy with my impromptu hug. I'm sure just a simple thank you with a few feet between us would have sufficed for his gift.
Needless to say I was quite embarrassed. First of all, because I hugged him. Secondly because I am a total mess. In my defense, I didn't know he was going to show up. I never expected the Don to come to my little house.
To my surprise, he stuck around for a while. I tried being friendly and keeping my distance, but the damage was already done. He was already turned off by my dirty appearance and somewhat rancid smell. If you don't live off the grid, then you just can't understand.
The rest of the visit was a bit strained, but I think I managed to get things back on a friendly track. To be perfectly honest though I just want to get on the love train with that man!
Oh well. Since this day can't get any worse, I might as well get the laundry done.
